Winamp Visualizations Milkdrop

My Rec ommendation for MilkDrop 2. My Recommendation for MilkDrop 2. MilkDrop 2 MilkDrop was originally a music visualiser 'plug-in' to the Winamp music player. As you listen to your music, MilkDrop takes you flying through the actual soundwaves you're hearing, and uses beat detection to trigger myriad psychedelic effects, creating a rich visual journey through sound.

Shpeck runs Winamp visualization plugins in a stand-alone window, a Columns UI panel or Default UI element.

The ones that seemed nice to me I copied and added exclamation mark to their names. ~ hydrogenaud.io/index.php/topic,59388.msg914054.html#msg914054

ADDING WINAMP’S MILKDROP VISUALISER TO WORK WITH ANY SOUND SOURCE
Playing music using the standard audio codec file, (the mp3), started around 1997 and was more like a hobby, whereby music lovers would obtain mp3’s from online or by ripping CD’s. Back then Winamp was the go to media player for Windows.
Music visualisation is a feature found in Winamp and many other media players.
A visualiser will generate animated imagery based on the volume and beat of the piece of music being played.
The imagery is generated and rendered in real time and synchronized with the music.
Winamp’s main visualiser is Milkdrop, and was created by Ryan Geiss, and can be configured to be used with any sound source on a Windows PC.

ENABLE WINDOWS ‘STEREO MIX’ RECORDING DEVICE
This will provide a way for Winamp to direct the sound to the visualiser without the need to cable connect a microphone.
Windows 10 > Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Sound: Manage audio devices > Recordings [TAB] > Stereo Mix
NOTE: On some Windows 10 PC’s Stereo Mix is Disabled.
If no Stereo mix shown, then:-
Right Click anywhere in the blank space and Click on Show Disabled Devices > Right Click on Stereo Mix, and Click Enable.
Properties [BUTTON] > Levels [TAB] > Increase Stereo Mix to max 100.
