Sponsorblock Firefox Account
SponsorBlock is a free and open-sourcebrowser extension designed to skip (block) sponsorship segments in YouTube videos. The extension relies on a user-submitted database to identify sponsorships in videos. Extension users can submit segments in videos, and vote on segments others have submitted.[2] The extension is a recommended extension on Firefox.[3] As of March 24, 2021, the extension has over 70k downloads on Firefox and over 100k downloads on Google Chrome.[4][5] Initially, SponsorBlock could only be used to submit and skip sponsorship segments, but support for multiple categories was added in June 2020.[6]
- SponsorBlock is an open-source crowdsourced browser extension to skip sponsor segments in YouTube videos. Users submit when a sponsor happens from the extension, and the extension automatically skips sponsors it knows about. It also supports skipping other categories, such as intros, outros and reminders to subscribe. It also supports Invidio.us.

- The SponsorBlock extension for Firefox is one of the more original content blockers we’ve seen developed in some time. It’s a perfect example of the creative problem-solving potential of browser extensions. So give SponsorBlock a spin and enjoy fewer interruptions while you let loose for your solo living room dance party set to YouTube music.
Usage[edit]
Since there's no way to build a signed XPI automatically from the latest Git commit, I've created a new package, firefox-extension-sponsorblock, which uses the same method as firefox-extension-bitwarden. I installed firefox to test it and it seems to work fine. Freeplane mac download. This package will be abandoned.
Extension users can submit timestamps for segments in videos, and choose a category for them. By default, segments are automatically skipped by the extension. When a segment is skipped, a small pop-up appears for a few seconds to allow the user to vote on the segment, or to 'unskip' it. The extension tracks per-user statistics about the number of segments submitted and skipped.[7] As of March 24, 2021, SponsorBlock has saved over 137 years of people's time.[8]
Reception[edit]
SponsorBlock was mentioned on the Linus Tech Tips podcast The WAN Show on January 31, 2020.[9] Call of duty 5 mac download. Download streaming audio mac free.
The extension was featured on Mozilla's Extension Spotlight on July 21, 2020. The extension is a recommended extension on Firefox, and as of April 7, 2021 is the highest-rated recommended extension listed.[3][10]

If a viewer skips an integrated sponsor spot or uses a browser extension like SponsorBlock—never heard of that— be hurting a channel just as much as adblock, or it impossible for a sponsor to know?
